Entertainment in Holmfirth & the Holme Valley

Getting there

Holmfirth is usually reached via Huddersfield and the A6024. Some venues sit on steep, narrow lanes, so we always check access and parking for the act.

Venues in the Holme Valley

• Country pubs and inns with function rooms
• Rural wedding venues and barns
• Cricket and sports clubs
• Village halls for parties and community events
• Marquees in gardens and fields

Events we book

Weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries and village events are the most common. The valley has a lively music and arts scene, and Holmfirth's festivals bring visitors from across the region.

Village and community events

The Holme Valley's villages have a busy calendar of community events, galas and fundraisers. For these, entertainment that suits all ages works best: a family band, a children's entertainer, crazy golf or carnival stalls for the afternoon, and a vocalist or band for the evening. For outdoor events, make sure there's a covered stage and a safe power supply.

Choosing an act

For pubs and smaller rooms, a solo vocalist or acoustic duo suits best. For barns and marquees, check power and sound limits and consider an act used to working in rural venues. For village events, a family band or children's entertainer is often ideal.
