When to schedule the set

The most popular slot is straight after the speeches, while guests are still seated. Laughter after the toasts keeps the energy up. A second option is the early evening, as day guests and evening guests mix.

Avoid booking comedy during the meal itself. Guests are talking and staff are serving, which is hard for any comic.

Choosing the right comedian

• Clean or adult: Weddings usually include grandparents and children, so most couples ask for a family-friendly set. Tell us your preference.
