Venues in Ossett and Horbury

Ossett has a busy town centre with pubs and bars, and a strong club and sports scene. Typical venues for our bookings include:

• Social clubs and sports clubs with function rooms and small stages
• Cricket and rugby club rooms for birthdays and anniversaries
• Pub function rooms for smaller parties
• Hotels near the M1 and M62 for weddings, Christmas parties and corporate events

Events we book in Ossett

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, club nights and Christmas parties are the most common. Gawthorpe's famous Maypole celebrations and Coal Carrying Championship give the area a strong community spirit, and we also get requests for charity and community events.

A typical Ossett party night

A common format in Ossett clubs and function rooms is an act on stage from around 8.30pm, a first spot of about 45 minutes, a break for food, bingo or speeches, and a second spot to finish. Some acts provide DJ music in the breaks, which keeps the room lively. Tell us how your evening will run and we'll make sure the act fits around it.

For bigger celebrations, such as a 50th or a ruby wedding, a group tribute or duo adds spectacle; for smaller gatherings, a solo vocalist or tribute keeps things personal.

Choosing an act

Self-contained acts suit most local function rooms: vocal entertainers, guitar vocalists, vocal comedians and solo tributes. For bigger venues, consider a duo, a band or a group tribute such as ABBA or the Spice Girls.
